I had read the same article of yours in the paper and i was very touched by your honesty.
It is indeed a shame that our connect with mother nature has been systematically eroded since the paternal religions came and especially so in Europe.I am a bramhin and i have no shame in admiting that they were influenced by paternal religions and they in turn tried to take that innocent and direct connect the tribals had with the mother nature too in india.Sometimes it is refreshing to see them(tribals) still carry out the same rituals which has been followed since mother nature worship began all over the world
